Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) 11.X default credentials reset
Tags: credentials, default, login, SEPM, Symantec, Networking
If you ever need to reset the SEPM default credentials, you can use the resetpass.bat to reset the password for the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager admin account. Comes in very handy if someone changes the password and unintentionally locks themselves out.
Note: If you change the admin account name to something other than admin and then subsequently run resetpass.bat, it changes the account name back to admin.
To reset the administrator password
- Open Windows Explorer on the computer that runs Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
- Locate the <Drive>:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools folder.
- Double-click the resetpass.bat executable file.
- The password is reset to admin.
- Change the password immediately.
The Symantec supplied documentation can be found here: C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools as reset_password.html or reset_password.pdf.

Ive tried that but there are
Ive tried that but there are no reset.bat file there any other options
I don't see other options.
Unfortunately, according to all the documentations I can find, the file SHOULD be located here: :\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools\resetpass.bat.
I've also looked for a download option of the bat file but I don't see one publicly available. Do you have access to another machine with SEPM installed? If so, grab the file from there and give it a try.
