Opening Task Manager in Windows 2003 Terminal server

Sometimes you need to get task manager open on a terminal server, but if you press CTRL-ALT-Delete it brings it up for your actual computer. There are a few different methods you can use to get around this.

  1. You can right click on your task bar then left click on the option to start task manager.
  2. You can go to start>run and type taskmgr
  3. You can press CTRL-ALT-END. This is possibly the best method because you can also lock your server session, log off, and change your password.

I have also liked using CTRL+SHIFT+ESC which jumps right into Task Manager.
