Since Darien was 3, fish and fishing have been a part of his life. His grandfather and mother taught him how to fish and to be patient with the game and hobby. His drive for the sport has translated into the hobby of keeping freshwater, marine and reef aquariums off and on for the last 30 years. Fishing and keeping up with his 120 gallon reef are his relaxation portals in today’s fast paced lifestyle.

Be it crafting a complex reef system at home or troubleshooting any IT issue, Darien claims having the patience to work through different options and solutions to accomplish the goal is a valuable thing to have learned and remember throughout life. Fishing, he says, has helped provide that kind of patience.
