We are ecstatic to announce InterWorks has made Inc. Magazine’s national “Best Workplaces of 2017” list! This is only the second year for the list to be published, so it’s an honor for us to be among these cutting-edge companies. Like InterWorks, many companies included are involved in the IT Services industry. We know we love working with technologically gifted employees and the people at Inc. seemingly agree that IT or technical solution companies are the best places to work in the country.

The selection is based on three factors: financial benefits, employee feedback and performance innovation. InterWorks prides itself on holding a high standard of excellence for employees and clients alike. It’s InterWorks’ unique culture, however, that has set us apart from the competition. So, this past month we asked our employees what makes InterWorks uniquely innovative for each of them. The responses we received back were in line with InterWorks’ hard-working and people-focused culture, an aspect that earned us a best workplace title. You can read their answers below to see why InterWorks and the people here are so special.

I Love InterWorks, Because…

Many responses love that InterWorks emphasizes creativity in the workplace. This may be surprising since we are, after all, a tech company. Another requirement for working at InterWorks is an imaginative approach to business. There are no limits placed upon what a person can achieve. There is always room for growth and the people at InterWorks are open-minded to change, a term that isn’t typically used to define corporations.

I love that I am surrounded by the smartest people I know. I love that innovation and new ideas are a requirement for working here. -Kate Treadwell

I love that, “because that’s the way we’ve always done it” is never the end of the conversation. -Kirsten Fullerton

InterWorks also approaches the outside world with inventive ideas. Whether we are working with clients or partners, such as Tableau, EXASOL and Alteryx, creativity is key in the data-verse. When considering clients to collaborate with, we only choose the best. We help them meet their current needs and long-term goals.

Speaking of our clients, we have offices scattered across the US, but also do business all around the globe in countries such as the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia to name a few. The opportunity for travel and adventurous experiences has always been an advantage of working at InterWorks. Our consultants often enjoy the infamy working for a company such as InterWorks affords them.

I love traveling the world to help people understand their data in ways they’ve never been able to. I love the support and eagerness of InterWorkers to help me at the drop of a hat, answer stupid questions and generally be super teammates. -Liz Kreitler

I love that I can feel like an entrepreneur conquering the world. I love going into a room of data people and seeing them get star struck by the logo on my shirt. I love being impressed by each new InterWorks person that I meet. -Robert Curtis

I love that my sons want to work at the “InterWorks Kids Club.” -Tim Rhymer

InterWorks insures that culture is a vital part of how we approach business, because everyone is a team member. The InterWorks team members, no matter if it’s the IT or BI side, everyone genuinely appreciates and enjoys the work they do. Some people thrive off the challenge each new project and client bring.

Whatever the work our consultants and analysts do, there are no boundaries on what you can accomplish. In fact, drive and ambition may be a requirement we look for in our team members. Ultimately, the only obstacle you might find could be yourself. InterWorks does not limit anyone’s capabilities, we would rather showcase them.

I love that there are new and interesting challenges to be met with every new project I work on. -Robert Rouse

There are many reasons why I love InterWorks, but if I had to distill my list to three reasons they’d be: 1. The only impedance to personal and professional growth is your own initiative, desire and drive. 2. I can provide value to some of the most influential companies in the world while experiencing the diverse environments each have. 3. I’m far stronger, smarter and effective due to the team I work with. -Eric Shiarla

InterWorks ability to offer employees the freedom to be creative, while aligning everyone’s goal of delivering value to each of our clients is unique. Our drive to do the Best Work for Best Clients with Best People isn’t just a marketing slogan, it shapes the way we make decisions on a daily basis. Working for an organization with that kind of clarity is purposeful, invigorating and rewarding. -Matt Clark

Yes, InterWorks is simply put, a tech company. We create a tech community for people to understand and interact with clients and their data. When you add intelligent and talented people who work for these amazing clients on a regional and international scale, the work we do is more of a passion rather than a mere occupation.

There are many unique characteristics and people who make InterWorks a place that emphasizes innovation and creativity. Our team members have surmised their thoughts on what working here means to them, and it makes us wonder, is there any doubt left about how awesome InterWorks is?

Shout out to Inc. Magazine for making it known to the world that InterWorks is one of the best places to work, a fact we’ve known for years.
