InterWorks and Alteryx Team Up for Training, Peanut Butter and Jelly Said to Be Jealous

What happens when you install Alteryx on 15 machines, fill the room with data experts from a variety of industries and add an excellent trainer? You get the Alteryx Fundamentals Public Course. Not only do you gain perspective from other classmates, but the trainer is there to expertly guide you through the program and answers any questions that may arise.

The InterWorks team was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend this training in Naperville, IL under the tutelage of Kim Hands, Alteryx’s Manager of Training Services. Here’s what they took away:

The Value of Alteryx Training

In two days, attendees went from an Alteryx knowledge of nil to having the ability to build their own repeatable modules. They integrated:

  • Multiple data sources and types
  • Alteryx’s demographic data from Experian
  • Trade area analysis with Tom Tom
  • Alteryx’s Reporting Tools to send out a finished product

The knowledge gained in two days gave attendees the ability to cut down time spent on previous reporting efforts exponentially.

Live Course vs. On-Demand Video

Why take a course when there is a plethora of great resources available for free? The on-demand videos that Alteryx provides are a great resource for any user. If you’re like me, a hands-on learner that thrives in a dynamic, energetic environment, then the classroom training is a must. Having an instructor who is passionate about furthering the knowledge of their students can work wonders. Furthermore, the ability to jump right into the product and “get your hands dirty” is invaluable. Kim expertly guided all attendees from the basics of the user interface to the complexities of many tools.

InterWorks Set to Lead Alteryx Training Courses

The partnership between InterWorks and Alteryx is gearing up to provide training opportunities on a larger scale than currently possible. Soon, Alteryx will release v9 with a brand new reporting tool. After this release, look for InterWorks to lead Alteryx trainings across the country. InterWorks has been a trusted training partner to Tableau for some time, and we’re extremely excited to lead Alteryx trainings in the near future. Trainings will be available in more cities, allowing greater access to Alteryx knowledge. This will empower more users and businesses alike to make sense of their data in a way that adds-value and drives key decisions.
