Nayeem Ahmed
Analytics Consultant / Mid-Atlantic Practice Lead
Growing up as a foreign services kid, moving to a new country every few years was part of Nayeem’s family routine. Born in Belgrade, he spent most of his early childhood in Northern Europe. He then went to high school in Dubai. When given the option to return to Europe or come to America for college, he opted for the more exciting choice and landed in Minnesota. After a few years in the Twin Cities (suffering many letdowns by the Vikings), he moved to Northern Virginia where he lives with his family today.

In most of his jobs, Nayeem has worked with data in some capacity – either analyzing it or developing solutions for reporting systems. Working with data has helped him appreciate the true meaning of discovery. He feels that there is so much you can learn as you “peel the layers of the onion.”

As far as Nayeem’s hobbies go, he has learned to appreciate the outdoors from his wife, Sara – a native Coloradan. They enjoy hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. He also enjoys traveling to new destinations and hanging out with his son, Sami. When traveling somewhere new, Nayeem has two must-dos: visit the local coffee shop and go for a running tour of the neighborhood.

Running is definitely his passion. It gives him time to unplug and challenges him to keep pushing his limits. Lately, he’s been drawn to destination races because they allow him to combine running and travel. In his eyes, each race is an opportunity to discover the world around him from a very different vantage point. As you might have gathered, discovery is at the heart of everything he does.
